"Schülermanager" of the Young Beethoven Festival
The
Beethoven Festival Bonn 2009, presented an ideal opportunity to try out
a large-scale management pilot project by school pupils. A total of 15
pupils from 4 different schools organized two concerts with the hip-hop
classical band "einshoch6" and the Minguet Quartett, under the
banner "Young Beethoven Festival". Directed by the pupils themselves,
the concerts took over 10 months to arrange. The work involved all areas
of concert organization from discussions with sponsors to negotiations
with musicians, technicians and other partners through to the press conference.
The pupils were helped in their concert preparation by the relevant departments
of the Beethoven Festival and the result was a huge success for everyone
who took part. The pupils gained a wealth of practical experience and
the Beethoven Festival won many new fans.
