Currently Mark Miller is the curator of the Youth Programmes at Tate Britain. His role allows him to create strategies, programmes, projects and events which open a wider range of young people to access, interact and contribute to British culture through contemporary art practice. His recent work includes the peer-led Tate Forum and cooperation projects such as »Enslaved«, with Arts Aim Higher and University for the Arts London, as well as »Stolen Sanity«, working with the artist Faisal Abdu’ Allah. Before Mark Miller practiced as a visual artist. Exhibiting nationally, he combined music and visual arts to explore the interconnecting themes of traditional Jamaican narratives and their parallels to urban British culture. |
